Olivia gained her PhD on the Wellcome Trust 4-year PhD programme in Translational Neuroscience, based at the University of Edinburgh's Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS). Her thesis aimed to advance current understanding of the cognitive changes associated with sporadic cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) across a range of clinical manifestations (including stroke, vascular cognitive impairment and dementia). Previously, Olivia gained a BA in English Language at Cardiff University before undertaking an MSc in Language Sciences with Specialisation in Linguistics with Neuroscience at University College London.
