Fraser joined the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences at the University of Edinburgh as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Medical Image Analysis. He has a BSc(Hons) in Neurosciences from the University of Dundee, and an MSc(Res) from The University of Sheffield. Fraser’s previous work included assessing planning ability in patients with major depressive disorder and evaluating the biological bases of processing speed deficits in Alzheimer’s disease. Most recently, Fraser studied towards a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Glasgow. He worked on assessing carotid-brain interactions in people with ischaemic stroke, including evaluating MR angiographic images. He also assessed potential benefits of long-term allopurinol treatment in carotid artery disease in ischaemic stroke subjects. Fraser will be involved in image analysis of several stroke related studies.
