Nada Alamoudi is a PhD student who works as a lecturer in Taibah University in Saudi Arabia, and won a scholarship from her government to study with us. Nada's first supervisor is Miguel Bernabeu (Medical Informatics, Usher Institute), and Sohan Seth (Informatics) and Maria Valdes Hernandez (CCBS) are co-supervisors.

Nada's PhD aims to address Big data problems, to identify from brain image scans (CT and MRI) people at risk of and already with any form of dementia, from a nationwide imaging data bank. In those identified at risk due to atrophy and relevant vascular abnormalities, Nada will estimate disease stage and develop predictive models of disease progression given demographics, lifestyle and clinical data.
