Nathalie Beaufort

Nathalie Beaufort obtained her doctoral thesis in physiology and physiopathology in Paris (France) in 2005. After, several post-doctoral experiences in France and Germany, she joined the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research (Munich, Germany) in 2010 as a research associate. Her work focusses on the biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) with an emphasis on CARASIL, an inherited SVD caused by loss-of-function mutations targeting the HTRA1 protease.
