Carmen is a clinical research fellow in small vessel disease (SVD) at the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS) funded by the Dementia Research Institute. She is involved in several clinical SVDs studies, and she is currently recruiting and coordinating the sporadic SVD study. She is especially interested in the identification of early clinical risk factors and biomarkers for endothelial dysfunction, which results in cerebral small vessel disease progression.
